TURNING THE ART OF REJECTION INTO ART...

LOVEABLE YET ALONE

Like taking pictures in mystic churches
The only thing I want
the only thing I can't have
too sacred

But your camera lens has already stolen my soul
and if you think you saved me any heartache
by ending it before it began
you are wrong

People are hard to love
the ones who need it most
the fragile are prickly
and impossible to hug

And you
the one who every one loves
the charmer
Won't let it in

Maybe you should stop advertising now
Turn off that open sign
if you were never in the market at all

I can't leave
But you won't hold on
so I dangle
Like the carrot
you dangle
infront of my face
As if i'm the white horse you rode in on
