If He Doesn't Want to Date You,
You Shouldn't Let Him Sleep With You

Dear Harlan,

My boyfriend of 11 months has asked to have a break in our relationship due to his feelings for me. Last night I caught him on the phone with another woman who he has been secretly in contact with. He promises he has never cheated, but I don't know if I should believe him or not. He slept with me last night, but is still saying that he does not know if he wants to be with me and needs to think about it. What should I do?

In a Break

Dear In a Break,

Why would you ever sleep with a man who says that he doesn't know if he wants to be with you? All this does is tell him that can have you and not tell you how he feels. Really, why tell you when he can be with you and not tell you? So stop letting him do what he wants to do. That is, unless you're looking for someone to use you when he wants and not tell you what he wants.
