EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Dating in college works like this - put people in a room long enough, and eventually, they'll hook-up. Put them in a room with alcohol and it all happens that much faster - not a good thing. Syndicated advice columnist and best-selling author Harlan Cohen has discovered "The Secret Truth" of dating and relationships. In this interactive and engaging session, he reveals how understanding, appreciating, and embracing this unspoken and universal truth will forever change the way you look at finding a date… while sober.

PROGRAM GOALS:

Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of why students often turn to alcohol and drugs when seeking romantic relationships. They will be exposed to a new way of taking risks that eliminates the need to medicate themselves and numb reality in order to take risks. Once they can appreciate the "why" behind the roles alcohol and drugs play in college, they will be better equipped to make healthy choices - while sober.
Statistics, facts, and information is based on published data from The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, Bacchus & Gamma, and the Higher Education Research Institute.
